Francis Huxley is a British anthropologist and author of "The Way of the Sacred" (1968), "The Invisibles", on Haitian Voodoo culture, (1966), and "Affable Savages" on his sejourn with Amazonian tribes(1959). Recently he co-edited, together with Jeremy Narby, the fascinating "Shamans Through Time". He is a scion of the illustrious Huxleys, which include his father Sir Julian. and his uncle Aldous. Francis Huxley spent some years in the early fifties among the newly encountered tribes of the Amazon, and his accounts are some of the best- and most lively we have of the ancient ways.
